Shari and Jeff | Ahwahnee Hotel Wedding | Yosemite National Park

Shari, Jeff and a few of their friends met up in Yosemite for a fantastic wedding at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park. We had a great portrait session in the Valley before returning to the hotel to take care of the business of the day. There was no shortage of unique touches to the wedding, everything was truly special to Shari and Jeff and everyone had a blast on the dance floor after dinner. Take a few and enjoy my favorites. Thanks!

Brand Spanking New Wedding Portfolio!

After 4 years, I finally sat down and went through 100,000+ or so wedding pictures I've taken over the last 8 years and pared it down to 76 or so of my absolute favorites - the images that I feel define my style and how I photograph weddings. True to nature it's heavy on moments, heavy on joy, heavy on the quirky little kids, with a dash of dynamic portraits thrown in for good measure. I hope it brings a smile to your face, and I really hope it inspires you to get in touch with me about shooting your wedding. Enjoy!

Yi-Hsing and Daniel | Ahwahnee Hotel Wedding | Yosemite National Park

Any wedding day in Yosemite is bound to be a beautiful one, and this day certainly didn't disappoint! Weekday weddings in the park are great as even in the summertime the crowds are smaller and it's pretty easy to get around the valley floor. Daniel and Yi-Hsing are new residents of New York by way of Japan, and on the way they had a little wedding under the apple tree on the Ahwahnee Hotel's Wedding Lawn. Enjoy a few of my favorite images from the day...

Melissa and John | Wedding from the Visalia Holiday Inn | Visalia, CA

For Melissa and John's wedding I once again had the chance to work with the fabulous Dawnelle of The Divine Event and once again she did not disappoint with the decor.  Melissa's ideas were executed flawlessly!  Working in new venues is an especially exciting thing for me, particularly hotels where there typically aren't a lot of "obvious" places to go shoot portraits - it takes a lot more creativity and tricks to make it all work.  I loved the skeptical looks from Melissa that preceded looks of joy once I showed her the results of the back of the camera.  So if your photographer has you posed in a construction area, or at the edge of a crowded parking lot, trust them,
