Lexington and Jared | Private Residence Wedding | Fresno, CA

Funny story, when Lexington and Jared started looking for a wedding venue, Lexington's mom (or someone in the family) said "Why don't we just make a venue??" and so they bought a farm! It was a very, very cool spot and I hope it comes about to be a full wedding venue in Fresno because it has sooooo much going for it! Aside from the venue, Lexi and Jared were so sweet, so fun, and everyone one of their family members and wedding party were engaged and ready to celebrate. Check out some my favorites... Brittany and Kevin | Wedding from Paradise Springs | Oakhurst, CA

Hands down, Paradise Springs is my favorite venue in the Central Valley. High enough to get above the heat, tons of space for guests to make a weekend out of a wedding, and surrounded by an amazing forest with a huge selection of different locations for a ceremony. Not to mention, it's only a few minutes outside the south gate of Yosemite National Park which makes it a fantastic base camp for adventures in the park. Have your wedding in a laid back, mountain atmosphere, with all the grandeur of Yosemite just a short drive away. Brittany and Kevin put all that space to use - even having a good number of their guests camping on the grounds. For a

Maxine and David | Majestic Yosemite Hotel Wedding | Yosemite National Park

There's something a little extra special about Yosemite in the winter time. The crowds are gone, the skies quickly alternate between sunny and overcast. In many places the sun never gets high enough in the sky to touch the ground for weeks at a time. It's quiet and still, clouds hang on the cliffs and the waterfalls are either still, but if it rained recently they my have a modest flow. But overall, and most importantly, it's quiet. Those days are rare and fleeting in Yosemite and when you get one, it's magical. For a few hours you feel like you have the most beautiful spot on the planet all to yourself. I met Maxine and David on one of those days.

Michelle and Rhett | Allegretto Vineyard Resort Wedding | Paso Robles, CA

As promised, here's Michelle and Rhett's second wedding at the Allegretto Vineyard Resort in Paso Robles, CA. After a small, intimate wedding at the Mission San Miguel on Friday, they did it all again, and they did it bigger, on Saturday for a few hundred guests. The venue was spectacularly beautiful, every detail was thought of and executed. Even though there was a whole wedding the day before, that didn't stop anyone from being fully present on the day and powerful, emotional moments were abundant. This was an amazing cap to a wonderful weekend with this family and it was a joy to photograph. As with the day before, my talented friend James Collier shot this wedding with me and

Hailey and Greg | Panoche Creek Wedding | Fresno, CA

I may be a little late to the party, but after photographing my first two weddings at Panoche Creek this year, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite venues in the Fresno area. The grounds are just amazing with massive, old trees, established orchards, and as I discovered at this wedding after the river waters receded, a beautiful meadow. To top it off I got to spend this day with the extraordinarily friendly and kind Hailey and Greg and their friends and family. Even though their bridal party was quite large, it was obvious that each and every person chosen had a close, personal, and unique relationship with them. Everyone was loose, happy and ready to have an amazing time

Emily and Gary | Sunnyside Events Wedding | Fresno, CA

I probably sound like a broken record, but working with expressive people is SO MUCH FUN! No shade towards Gary - who's a totally awesome dude - but Emily has an outsized personality that literally blows up any room she walks in to. Actually, everyone was a character at this wedding including Gary and Emily's little boys. So many great personalities all the way around, but I think the pictures are going to show you that. Enjoy my favs!

Erin and Erick | Moravia Winery Wedding | Fresno, CA

After photographing over 350 weddings since 2005, one of the things I'm most proud of is how often I'm hired by family and friends of past clients. This wedding was a perfect example after photographing Erick's brother's wedding a couple years ago (eventually I'll get to posting that one too!). It's so much fun to hang with familiar people and extend the stories started in past years. I love that Erin and Erick are both unabashed Star Wars fans and let all that come through in their wedding - from Han and Leia figures on the cake, Erick's Millennium Falcon cuff links, and the Rebel Alliance cuff links for the groomsmen. Enjoy a few of my favorite images from their wedding.

Nicole and Chris | Preservation Park Wedding | Oakland, CA

I first met Nicole and Chris at Sarah and Ryan's wedding a couple of years ago. I'm not going to lie, I secretly thought they were a really cool couple and hoped they would get married and hire me. Well the universe heard me and here we are! I love that they are as sarcastic as me, love beer as much as I do (probably even more), and have a sarcastic wit which can keep the banter going forever. It was an absolute blast hanging out with them and their friends for the day and I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as I enjoyed making them!

Julie and Jeffery | Glacier Point Wedding | Yosemite National Park

One of my favorite things about weddings in Yosemite is that they are NEVER alike. I get to meet people from all over the world and the only thing in common is their great love for the mountains and the outdoors. Julie and Jeff were no exception. They live in Colorado but had never actually been to Yosemite before the day of their wedding. They gathered 25 of their closest friends, rented an amazing cabin outside the park, and got their first taste of Yosemite about 10 minutes before we met. It was a blast showing them around and capturing the amazing scenes all around us. Then to cap off the day, we headed out to Taft Point with several
