For Brooke and Johnnie's engagement session, we spent a couple hours running around Johnnie's family's ranch. I truly love when we can work in a location that has a connection to my subjects. And if you know these guys, yes this was a year ago and their wedding will be posted up soon!
For Diane and Will's wedding I got to see and work at D&D Ranch in Madera for the first time. It was a great, quirky venue full of character and a fun place to hang out. The ceremony took place at St Anthony's, one of my favorite churches with it's extraordinarily unique architecture. Diane and Will were a fantastic couple to work with and their crazy friends made the party an absolute blast. Enjoy!

When Brianna suggested shooting on an old, abandoned dairy that had been in her family for over 100 years, I jumped at the opportunity. I love shooting in new places - especially places that have a connection to my clients. She told me she was worried that there wouldn't be anything good out there, but she didn't need to be. There's so much rich texture and history at locations like this, it's a paradise for a photographer. Enjoy!
I have to say, it was a real pleasure to hang out with these two and shoot their wedding. Kayla and Nick are just a couple of cool, down to earth people just full of enthusiasm to be finally having their "real" wedding. There were lots of homemade touches, and that along with the small, intimate group of friends and family making up the guest list, really just made everything very warm and personal. To top it off, they chose a great venue that has all the vibe of a backyard wedding, with the amenities of a full catering service on site. We had a blast shooting Erika and Craig's engagement session, starting off playing with their dogs at their house before heading out to stop at the historic courthouse in Madera and then on a little wandering road trip out of town.
