WEDDING INFORMATION

WE WANT TO GET TO KNOW YOU, CAN WE MEET?

Absolutely! I work from my home in the Old Fig Garden neighborhood in Fresno, so if you’re local I’d love to invite you over. I have lots of great samples to look over and a comfortable dedicated area to chat about all the details. If meeting in person isn’t possible, then a Zoom or Facetime call is a great alternative – we can still meet “face to face” that way. Of course I have a phone too, so if all else fails, we can go old fashioned with a regular phone call.

WE WANT YOU!  HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?

Call me or email me! Of course we’ll need to check your wedding date to ensure I’m available, so don’t wait to get in touch. I never know when a date will book – sometimes it’s 18 months out, other times it can be just a few weeks. When you know, let me know right away so we can get it locked down. To hold your date, I’ll need a signed contract and a $1500 booking fee. The booking fee will be applied to your final balance, due 30 days prior to your wedding.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?

My most popular option is my Signature Wedding Day coverage. It’s based on what is covered, not exactly how long it’s covered. This begins with 2 hours of preparations coverage and lasts through all your key reception events plus at least an hour of open dancing and partying – typically around 9 hours for most, single location weddings. Signature Wedding Day Collections include the high-resolution, print ready digital files from your wedding day and start at $4500.

Short Day Collections including 6 hours of coverage start at $3500, and Yosemite Elopement Collections start at $950. Both Short Day and Yosemite Elopement Collections include the high-resolution, print ready digital files from your wedding.

Off season (December through March) and short notice discounts are often available. All prices are subject to applicable state and local sales tax. Please email for the details.

DO YOU OFFER ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS?

Engagement sessions are included on a complimentary basis, upon request, with most Signature Wedding Day Collections. For Collections that don’t include a session, it can be added for $650. That fee includes the session and the high-resolution, print ready digital files. Upgrades for custom albums, prints, photo guest books, and custom Save the Date cards are available. Please note that this session is typically photographed in an area local to Fresno, CA (within a 60 minute drive). For couples living, and getting married in, the Bay Area, I will come to you for your session, likewise couples who have booked a wedding in Yosemite can opt to have their session in the park. Sessions are available on weekdays only due to a full weekend wedding schedule.

DO YOU SHOOT ALONE, OR DO YOU HAVE A 2ND PHOTOGRAPHER?

The vast majority of the time I work alone – I haven’t regularly worked with a second photographer since 2009 – and most of the weddings you see on this site represent my work as a solo photographer (I mention in the description if there was a second). My Signature Wedding Day Coverage includes 2 hours of preparations coverage so that there is ample time for me to cover a little bit of the guys prep if desired, although most couples find my focusing on the guys on site at the venue, in the time prior to the ceremony is sufficient. In my experience I have found that working alone, and reducing the number of cameras and strangers in a room, greatly helps in allowing your friends and family to drop their guard and naturally fall into an open state. Of course I have to work harder to cover things from more angles, to anticipate better, but the final result that I deliver to you is all the better for it.

That said, I do have two different options for adding a second photographer. A basic option which brings someone dedicated to shooting decor and other details along with cocktail hour coverage, and a premium option that includes and high-end photographer with skills on par with my own. I have a nationwide network of highly talented photographers whom I’ve known for years that I can bring into town to work with me. This option really, truly adds another dimension to your coverage that you simply don’t get from typical two photographer teams.

WILL YOU TRAVEL OUT OF TOWN?  WHAT IS YOUR TRAVEL FEE?

Absolutely! I consider most of Central and Northern California as my “local” area. While there may be a minimum booking requirement for certain locations and seasons, I don’t charge an added travel fee to the Bay Area, Lake Tahoe, the Central Coast, Yosemite, Kings Canyon/Sequoia, the Central Sierra Nevada, or anywhere in the Central Valley. If you’d like me to photograph your wedding in an even more exotic locale, I’m game to go wherever you want me and fees are calculated on a case by case basis.

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH DETAILS? WHAT ABOUT PORTRAITS AND FAMILY FORMALS?

While my coverage is moment driven, your wedding coverage wouldn’t be complete without a record of the decor and your closest family members. I work off of a standard family formal list that incorporates your grandparents, parents, your siblings and their spouses and children that typically takes about 15 minutes to complete. This list is provided to you to edit if you need to add or remove anything. I frequently receive feedback from my couples and their families that they actually had FUN during that time and were excited that it went so quickly and smoothly.

WHEN WILL I SEE MY IMAGES?

My typical turnaround time on a wedding is about 4-5 weeks, give or take, to upload your gallery for viewing. The length of the album process can vary based on multiple things, but the biggest factor tends to be how long it takes to get image selections from my couples.

HOW MANY PICTURES DO YOU TAKE?

A lot! And then I edit them down to the very best. I eliminate the blinks, the mis-fires, the worst of the awkward expressions (don’t worry I will leave the funny ones in), and the shots where someone walked in front of me.  Many times you will hear me shoot 3 shots in rapid succession – I will pull the best of the three to keep.  How many I deliver is the better question and that typically lands anywhere from around 300 to as many as 800 depending on how long my coverage is and how much prep and reception coverage there is.

GET IN TOUCH – CHECK YOUR DATE!

I’d love to hear from you! Drop me a line using the form to the right, or pick up the phone and give me a call if you prefer – my number is 559.696.8465.

I’m happy to answer any questions you may have, or better yet, set up a time to meet in person at my home studio. I have a lot of great sample albums to flip through and a comfortable environment to chat about all your wedding details.

And if you’re not in the Fresno, CA area, we can have a virtual “in-person” meeting using Skype, Facetime, or Google Hangout. I’m looking forward to meeting you!

Thanks!
Mark
