Engagement
As is customary this time of year, I've been spending A LOT of time up in the hills. This session is a little old, back before everything turned brown, but it's a great look at this special time of year. We were blessed with a extraordinary morning complete with great light and some amazing clouds.
Jenna wanted something on the beach for her engagement session, so we picked a place that I had only used one other time - a long time ago. It's a pretty special place to me though, as it's the same place I asked my wife to marry me; the beautiful Montana de Oro state park. We started out in the town of Morro Bay before heading out to the park. Along the way we found a great little grove of eucalyptus trees which made for some nice variety before finishing up on the beach at sunset. Enjoy a few of my favorites!
This couple just asked for a quick engagement session ahead of their wedding this summer at Lake Tahoe. They already had one session, but their dog wasn't able to participate so we we met in a vacant field in the middle of Fresno and made some great images - he was an incredibly sweet dog!
Kristen and Spenser are getting married in a few weeks down in Temecula, CA but they came up here a few weeks ago to take advantage of the beautiful scenery we have in the local foothills every spring. This year's bloom was a very short one, but we totally nailed the peak for this session, it was an awesome display of color. Take a minute to enjoy a few of my favorites...
We took advantage of the beautiful spring bloom for Julie and Johnny's engagement session. We headed over to the north side of Millerton Lake, an area full of huge, stately oak trees and wild grasses. Take a look at a few of my favorite images from the session.
For Katherine and Jordan's engagement session we headed down to a relative's ranch down near Kingsburg, CA. We were blessed with an absolutely amazing day sandwiched in between all the rain we have been getting this spring. Beautiful sky, beautiful blossoms and a very cool, overgrown vineyard all full of lush, green grasses and wildflowers. We even had a beat up old farmhouse to use as a backdrop. Next up for engagement sessions are Melissa and John. Melissa and John are getting married in just a couple weeks in Visalia and we had just enough time to squeeze in an engagement session before the big day. We headed over to downtown Visalia and wandered up and down Main St, looking for cool light and textures. Check out a few of my favorite images from the session.
I've known Heather and Matt for a few years now, as they both work at one of the nicest wedding venues in the area - Copper River Country Club. When I met Matt, we was one of the bartenders and now he runs the restaurant that makes all the fabulous food your guests enjoy. I always have a special place in my heart for the folks that make dinner happen! Heather's the one you talk to if you are looking to book an event at the club and she makes sure everything goes off without a hitch. It's always a highlight when I see their smiling faces on a wedding day, and I'm stoked to be the one to photograph their wedding
Lacey and Justin asked me if I would go to the family cabin to shoot their engagement session. Sounded like a great idea to me, any reason to get out of the valley is good one as far as I'm concerned! Take a look at a few of my favorite images...
