Engagement
I met Sally and Tim in Carmel for their engagement session at a small coastal nature preserve near Carmel, CA. We were blessed with some uniquely interesting skies that lent a very different vibe to a location that I have visited many times. Nothing better than hanging by the ocean with a great couple for an afternoon - even if they are Dodger fans!
The skies and the light were just unreal for Kim and Aaron's engagement session. We explored a little section of downtown that I had only spent a limited amount of time in. The find of the month was the BRIGHT orange wall and loading door hidden down an alley. Loved shooting downtown again, and Kim and Aaron's enthusiasm just made everything more sweet!
For Stacey and Adam's session we met out on Friant Rd and hit a couple different locations in the area - starting on the San Joaquin River Parkway. It was good times working with these two and their near-complete inability to remain serious at any time! Check out my favorites:
Everything is a little last minute for Selina and Lyle so when there was rain in the forecast we had to figure out a place to shoot inside to stay dry. Fortunately by the time we got kicked out of Starbucks (that's right, Starbucks is against love!) the rain was gone and we could freely shoot outside the Palms Restaurant (their reception location). Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.
For Kayla and Nick's session we took a little road trip up 180 towards the foothills. Found some cool locations and made a great set of images. Below are a few of my favorites from the evening.
Jennifer and Matt are both avid golfers and former members of the Fresno State golf team. So, when it came time to plan their engagement session, a visit to Pebble Beach was a must. On the way we stopped at Cannery Row in Monterey and then hit numerous locations along the beautiful 17 Mile Drive - finishing at sunset at Pebble beach. Here's a small selection of my favorites...
Catherine and Hawk booked me for their wedding coming up in October in Oakhurst a few weeks ago and asked me if it was okay if we included some of their animals in their engagement session. "Sure" I said, "What kind of animals are we talking about?". They replied "Oh, a couple dogs, some sheep, horses, a zebra...". "Huh? Did you say zebra? You totally should have lead with that!" So here it is, a very cool couple and a bunch of the most laid back, cool animals I've met - except for the goat that head-butted me in the rear and gave me attitude - see him in image 9. :)
So needless to say, I've been a Millerton machine! This time around it's Alexis and Nathan's turn. Their wedding is right around the corner so we got their session in just in time. And by the way, that cute little guy hanging with them is Dean - he's cool. :)
For Brianne and Andrew's session we headed north to San Francisco. We started at Muir Woods and then stopped off in the Marin Headlands on the way to Baker Beach. I'm shooting Brianne and Andrew's wedding later this year and I'm really looking forward to it. They're getting married at the Carmel Mission - a venue I have dreamed of photographing in for several years!
