Jamie + Chris – Engagement Session on the San Joaquin River Parkway

Jamie and Chris will be getting married at Lake Tahoe in September and I will be there to document the day.  This time around though, they were in town for the weekend so we took advantage of the time to get their engagement session in.  We went to a location that is new for me.  I have frequently driven down Friant and glanced towards the river and the trail that has been built along it - wondering how it would work for a session.  I made the suggestion, and I'm glad they took me up on the offer - I love the results we got in spite of the gale force winds!   Here are  a few of my favorites:

Emily + Adam – A Millerton Lake Engagement Session

Well this has been a long time coming!  I've been out of town traveling for weddings for most of the last couple weeks.  This has left me with a backlog and a lot of posting to do. First up is Emily and Adam and their fabulous engagement pictures taken a Millerton Lake a few weeks ago.  Emily and Adam are getting married at Wolf Lakes later this year and you'll see some wedding photographs from me then.  Funny thing about this couple is that I knew Adam's family about 20-25 years ago (no I'm not that old, I was really young when I knew them!).  Emily is the one that found me, and all through their consultation I was sitting there thinking "Man, the groom and

Rema + Kevin – A Destination Engagement Session from Paso Robles and Avila Beach

For this session we started at the Villa Toscana in Paso Robles.  It's a very beautiful, tuscan style bed and breakfast just outside Paso Robles.  We only had a few minutes there before heading off to the Robert Hall Winery on the way to Avila Beach.  Robert Hall has some gorgeous huge oaks on the property that I love working with.  Once we got to Avila Beach, the light was absolutely sublime.  Combine that great light with the energy and life of Rema and Kevin and we made a little magic.  Definitely one of my favorite sessions so far this year!  Take a look at a few of my favs...

Imani + Joshua – A San Francisco Engagement Session

Imani and Joshua love the city, having lived for several years in downtown SF before moving across the bay.  When it came time to shoot their engagement session, choosing the location was easy.  I loved this session, so often I end up at the beach or the Embarcadero when I travel to San Francisco, it was a pleasure to do something completely new to me and just wander the streets and shoot in the city.  Check out a few of my favorites...

Erin + Garrett – Engagement

We shot Erin and Garrett's engagement session on a beautiful day in foothills near Fresno around Millerton Lake.  The wildflowers have begun their full bloom and it's a fantastic location this time of year.  Take a look at a few of my favorites above.

Crystal + Chris – Engagement

Everything is down to the last minute for these two - wedding in two weeks and we shot the engagement session yesterday!  That's all in addition to them not booking me until January of this year... Either way, I'm glad they did.  Crystal and Chris were a blast to hang with and I think we got some great stuff.  Check out a few of my favorites above...

Kendall + Ryan – Engagement

Kendall and Ryan chose San Francisco for their engagement session, but they wanted something different than the beach that's so frequently requested.  I was totally up for it, as they wanted to go a couple of places I have been dying to go and they knew how to get there - well, sort of, but we won't talk about the part where I got a driving tour of downtown Sausalito and ran a red light trying to keep up with Ryan.. :) Anyway, we started at the Muir Woods north of San Francisco and then stopped at several locations in the Marin Headlands with views looking over the Golden Gate and the Bay.  It was a great session, check out a few
