This serious little sweetheart is turning one and I had the pleasure of documenting the milestone. There is one image in the gallery above - the close-up of her fingers twisted in the blanket - that is among my favorite images in recent memory. It's one of those things that any parent can understand - this is her special blanket and she loves to poke her fingers through the holes and hold on tight. I feel that, combined with her and her bottle in the background, this image completely tells the story of this time in her life. It's an image that will only become more special as she grows.
I'm sooooo far behind on blogging right now, so keep an eye here because this section is going to change nearly everyday starting on Wednesday. First up is the Olson family. I love photographing families in their homes. As far as locations go, I believe the images made in the home will be far more meaningful in the long run. These photographs will not only conjure up memories of the way someone looked, but also the place they lived and return the viewer to that time and place. Enjoy...
I may be a little biased, okay, I'm REALLY biased, but I think it's pretty dang close to the truth. :) This little girl is MY little girl. You may remember (if you've been paying attention) her newborn pictures last year, well she just turned one and so we had a little session on our front porch to commemorate the occasion. I just love those big blue eyes, I'm a total sucker for big, sparkly blue eyes! Special thanks go to my son Jack and the Woof, Woofs for their help in getting such great expressions from Merrill. Thanks for humoring me, I hope you enjoy these!
Matt Reaves is a friend of mine from WAAAAY back in high school and it was a blast reconnecting with him after so many years. He's married now and has a really cute daughter that just loved being a model for an hour or so. Take a look at a few of my favorites from their session...
The Doggetts were another couple that took advantage of my Groupon offer to take some special portraits in honor of their wedding anniversary.
