Here's another session from a family home. If I you haven't heard me say it before, I absolutely love shooting in people's homes. Having the opportunity to photograph a family, and especially children, in the home they're growing up in is unmatched as a location as far as I'm concerned.

Today we have the Sims Brothers coming from downtown Fresno. Got to love a big brother that goes out of his way to have a portrait session with his little brother!
Turning One! | Child Portraits | Fresno, CA
This serious little sweetheart is turning one and I had the pleasure of documenting the milestone. There is one image in the gallery above - the close-up of her fingers twisted in the blanket - that is among my favorite images in recent memory. It's one of those things that any parent can understand - this is her special blanket and she loves to poke her fingers through the holes and hold on tight. I feel that, combined with her and her bottle in the background, this image completely tells the story of this time in her life. It's an image that will only become more special as she grows.

I'm sooooo far behind on blogging right now, so keep an eye here because this section is going to change nearly everyday starting on Wednesday. First up is the Olson family. I love photographing families in their homes. As far as locations go, I believe the images made in the home will be far more meaningful in the long run.
