Mikala is graduating this year and I was really happy to work with her for her senior portraits. She's the niece of our very good friends Matt & Polly who's wedding I shot last year. I loved Mikala's boots - they were a great call! Snakes can't bite you through your boots!
I was happy to celebrate the one year anniversary of Jane and Tanner. They brought along cute little Dexter who helped us create one of my favorite shots of the year - the silhouette image in this set! It can be super hard to get a dog to cooperate that well to get a perfect profile but, he was a total pro! I was really excited to capture it and I hope you enjoy the images from the session.
It's wedding season, so that means another trip to dairyland in Chowchilla for Alysse and Brent's wedding followed by a huge party! Alysse wore one of the most beautiful dresses I've seen and Brent was stylin' in his cowboy hat. All the details were spectacular and this huge wedding went off without a hitch thanks to the supremely talented Cassandra of Weddings by Cassandra. Great people, a great wedding, and a great party made for a fantastic day and a fabulous way to really get things rolling this season.
Mark took a drive south to hang out with the Jaurigue family at their home. They got to meander through the vineyards that have been in Paul's family for generations. It's really neat to look at these images and know that someday little Manny will have these memories of growing up on the farm! Manny is a super-cute kid (as you can see) and the Fogartys were a bunch of fun for Mark to hang out with: laid-back and easy going! Enjoy some of our favorites from the day! I photographed Max's brother's wedding a few years ago so, I was really happy to get to see Max again as well as my former wedding clients. The wedding was beautifully decorated and I was thrilled to be a part of Max and Jing's wedding. To top it off, Sunnyside Country Club has a special place in my heart. It's where my wife, Leslie, and I were married 14 years ago! It was my first time shooting a wedding there and it was a kick to be at a place that meant a lot to me. The Dwiggins are one of my best clients - having come to me for their wedding, maternity, and newborn sessions. This time I got a chance to see their adorable little girl for a 1-year session at Millerton Lake among the lush green grasses and wildflowers.
One of my favorite locations in the area is Millerton Lake in the spring. The grasses are lush and green, the wildflowers are blooming and it's a perfect backdrop for a session. This session is a perfect example. Enjoy!
