Katherine and Jordan | Engagement Session | Kingsburg, CA

For Katherine and Jordan's engagement session we headed down to a relative's ranch down near Kingsburg, CA. We were blessed with an absolutely amazing day sandwiched in between all the rain we have been getting this spring. Beautiful sky, beautiful blossoms and a very cool, overgrown vineyard all full of lush, green grasses and wildflowers. We even had a beat up old farmhouse to use as a backdrop. Check out a few of my favorite images from the session.

Turning One! | Child Portraits | Fresno, CA

This serious little sweetheart is turning one and I had the pleasure of documenting the milestone. There is one image in the gallery above  - the close-up of her fingers twisted in the blanket - that is among my favorite images in recent memory. It's one of those things that any parent can understand - this is her special blanket and she loves to poke her fingers through the holes and hold on tight. I feel that, combined with her and her bottle in the background, this image completely tells the story of this time in her life. It's an image that will only become more special as she grows.

The Olson Family | Portraits from the family home | Sanger, CA

I'm sooooo far behind on blogging right now, so keep an eye here because this section is going to change nearly everyday starting on Wednesday. First up is the Olson family. I love photographing families in their homes. As far as locations go, I believe the images made in the home will be far more meaningful in the long run. These photographs will not only conjure up memories of the way someone looked, but also the place they lived and return the viewer to that time and place.  Enjoy...

The Most Beautiful Girl in the World | Merrill’s One Year Portraits | Fresno, CA

I may be a little biased, okay, I'm REALLY biased, but I think it's pretty dang close to the truth. :) This little girl is MY little girl. You may remember (if you've been paying attention) her newborn pictures last year, well she just turned one and so we had a little session on our front porch to commemorate the occasion. I just love those big blue eyes, I'm a total sucker for big, sparkly blue eyes! Special thanks go to my son Jack and the Woof, Woofs for their help in getting such great expressions from Merrill.  Thanks for humoring me, I hope you enjoy these!
