Kaitlin and Chas | Ranch Engagement Session | Clovis, CA

Kaitlin and Chas are getting married next year at the beautiful Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley - a gorgeous venue that I'm really excited to work in! This post though, is all about their engagement session on the family ranch just outside Clovis, CA. The day was an incredible one with electric blue sky and a clear views of the foothills and Sierras in the background. Aside from that one time when they sat down next to a HUGE RATTLESNAKE, everything was fantastic. Yeah, I said rattlesnake, and no, I suck, I didn't get a picture - I was too amazed at the site of one of the largest rattlesnakes I've had the pleasure of meeting in nature. Take a look at

Amy and Ross | A Private Ranch Wedding | Chowchilla, CA

Amy and Ross had a wickedly cool plan for their wedding. Being both pilots themselves, as well as children of pilots, aviation was definitely the theme of the day. From the model planes at the reception, to the fly-over by two crop dusters flying in formation and a fighter jet at the beginning of their ceremony, to their departure for their honeymoon in a helicopter at the end of the night - all made for great and unique photographic opportunities. Pull up a chair and take a look at a few of my favorites...

Bianca and Justin | Historic Harlan Ranch Wedding | Clovis, CA

So, I don't usually write a whole lot in these posts, but this wedding was unbelievable in so many ways. Most notably was how absolutely unshakeable Bianca and Justin were in the face of several "hiccups" on their wedding day. I'll just detail one of those unexpected happenings: The Ant Attack. Yes, I said "Ant Attack". Now, it could be expected that an outdoor wedding in a barn, on a ranch, could lead to potential "insect issues", but ants in the bride's dress is a little over the top for sure! What happened next, though, really takes the cake. You'll have to scroll down and check out the images to see what the ever prepared Nadia of Star Events grabbed out of

Allison and Sepehr | Tenaya Lodge Wedding | Fish Camp, CA

Allison and Sepehr were married in early October on one of the strangest weather days I've ever experienced. We started under blue skies with the most beautiful scattered clouds followed by a huge thunderstorm that arrived just before the ceremony. Thankfully the ceremony was in a sheltered area and we got most of the photography done before the storms hit. As a bonus, the sky was really cool when we went outside to do a couple portraits after the rain moved on. Check out a few of my favorites from the day...
