Due to schedule issues, we had to start a little later than usual with Emily and Waylon's engagement session. We met about 30 minutes before sunset up at the San Joaquin River Parkway and took a few shots before grabbing the video light and heading downtown for something special. Jason's from Fresno, Kim's from San Marcos and they met at Fresno Pacific University. Jason is an avid photographer who has started his own business with his brother within the last year, and I'm honored that they choose me to be their wedding photographer. We started out in San Marcos getting ready and for Kim and Jason's first look, then headed out to the beach in Carlsbad for some pictures on the beach. After the session, we made our way back to the church for a beautiful wedding on the lawn outside followed by a reception with what has to be the best tri-tip I have ever had. Now for something a little different (at least for people that don't live in San Diego). Sarah and Edward live in San Diego and I will be photographing their wedding in Yosemite next spring. In a cool twist, I was photographing a wedding in San Diego just a couple of weeks ago (pictures coming soon!) and I was able to hang out an extra day and photograph their engagement session in beautiful Balboa Park. We headed to downtown Fresno for Stacey and Lee's engagement session. We started off in a location that I had driven by many times, but never used and then followed that up with a little walkabout and finished up at the old historic train station. Below are a few of my favorites...take a look!
Amy and David were married on a scorching hot Saturday a couple weeks ago. Not to worry though, the shade soon came and all the greenery of the surroundings kept everything bearable. The wedding itself was truly beautiful, and the decor was very unique. In keeping with the surroundings, everything for the ceremony was decorated with ferns and various evergreens. Jaime a Chris were married on a strikingly beautiful day on the shore of Lake Tahoe below the historic Ehrman Mansion. Following the wedding we headed to The Cheteau in Incline Village for a fabulous reception. The two locations made for a lot of driving, but man, I'd take that drive any day - sure beats driving back and forth to Visalia! Below are a few of my favorite images from the day.
Jeanine and Joshua were married at River Park Bible Church with their reception following at the Fig Garden Swim and Racquet Club. One of the highlights for the day was the transportation between the church and the club. Jeanine and Joshua kept it a secret from the bridal party until we all walked outside and the Clovis Trolly was waiting for us. I rode with the bridal party to the reception and got some great images along the way - very cool way to travel for sure! Bryan proposed to Kristine on Pismo Beach so it was a no-brainer to go back when picking a location for their engagement session. We started out on Pismo Beach, but the weather was a little on the gloomy side so we headed over to sunny Avila Beach to finish up. Here's a few of my favorites...Enjoy!
Kristin and Jarrod were married at the Cross Church just a few weeks ago. The Cross Church has some unique architectural features that are fun to use and I always enjoy the opportunity to work there! As an added bonus we made a quick pit stop in my Old Fig Garden neighborhood to get a couple cool shots of the bridal party on the gorgeous, tree-lined streets. I'm happy to finally get this posted after a longish delay - I flew out to a much appreciated vacation in Hawaii the morning after this wedding. It's good to be back, hope you enjoy my favorites!
