We started this session a little later than usual which meant we broke out the lights for a good portion of it. Love to change things up every once in awhile and shooting in the dusk light totally fits the bill. Check out a few of my favorite images...
Lacie was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed a couple of years ago, and I was excited to see her again and have the opportunity to work with her and her fiancee Chris at their own wedding. For their engagement session, they asked to go to San Francisco to the rose garden where Chris proposed. We also made a stop at AT&T park to shoot in the area - they're huge Giants fans and even have their own commemorative brick in the walkway along McCovey Cove at the ballpark. This session was really cool - I went to High School with Ryan back when we has "5 ft nothin, a 100 and nothin" and we played on the Golf Team together. Fast forward almost 20 years later, we're all grown up, and I'm hanging out with him again, shooting his family portraits. Loved his boys, so full of personality! Sheena and Taylor are getting married in just a couple months, but this is their engagement session from downtown Fresno with a little session-ending detour out into the countryside from some sweet California sunset light in an abandoned vineyard. Check em out!
The Dwiggins are another of my wedding clients taking that next step into familydom! This was a combo Maternity/Newborn session and I've been holding the whole set until we had finished both. Sophia was born about a month and a half ago, and she's the sweetest little thing. Enjoy a few of my favorites from the session.
Taylor is a high school student from the Clovis area and she's really in to photography so when her mom saw the Groupon offer we ran a few months ago she snapped it up. It was blast walking around downtown, hanging out and talking photography with someone so excited about it and getting started with it so early. It's how I started out and it's a good way to go. Sometimes you get a couple with so much spirit and energy that the whole day, as busy and intense as it can be, doesn't even seem like work - not even a little bit. Natalie, Curtis, their friends and especially their family were a joy to spend the day with. So much energy, love and excitement surrounded everything about the day. It was a tough challenge to narrow down all the great images for this post. Take a few minutes and enjoy this snapshot of their wedding day.
