So we all got up at the crack of dawn and headed up to Millerton Lake for Vidi and Sean's engagement session. Not exactly what I expected when I first saw that Flag Day was coming up on the calendar, but my wife (and Studio Manager) Leslie did some scheduling magic to get a session in for some people with some crazy work schedules. After we shook of the sleep and rubbed our eyes, we made some pictures. Enjoy!
Next up is the Marin family and their super sweet little girl, coming to you from Woodward Park. Once we got her warmed up, she was so full of personality - I totally didn't even mind rolling around in duck poop or cleaning baby spit off my lens! Enjoy!
This session was really cool - I went to High School with Ryan back when we has "5 ft nothin, a 100 and nothin" and we played on the Golf Team together. Fast forward almost 20 years later, we're all grown up, and I'm hanging out with him again, shooting his family portraits. Loved his boys, so full of personality! Erin and Justin were married just a couple weeks ago at The Grove in Sanger, CA. Our Associate Photographer, Craig Kohlruss was the photographer and he did a great job capturing the feel of this cowboy wedding! The Dwiggins are another of my wedding clients taking that next step into familydom! This was a combo Maternity/Newborn session and I've been holding the whole set until we had finished both. Woah, it was hot! Like 100 million degrees or something like that, but Chelsie looked amazing and no one let it get them down! I also had my associate photographer Craig Kohlruss out with me for this one to shoot a little and to give me a little backup - a couple of the images here are his as well. It was cool to get back out to Holland Park as I haven't been there in a couple of years, it's as beautiful as ever! Sometimes you get a couple with so much spirit and energy that the whole day, as busy and intense as it can be, doesn't even seem like work - not even a little bit. Natalie, Curtis, their friends and especially their family were a joy to spend the day with. So much energy, love and excitement surrounded everything about the day. Nora and Brian are great clients and friends of mine - I shot their wedding a few years ago, then the extended family, then a maternity session and Dylan's newborn pictures - and now that's he's hit that magic 6 month mark it was time for another session! I love this little guy, between those big cheeks and and giant brown eyes, he's going to be a lady killer. Enjoy some of my favorites!
Kathy and Jesse were married at beautiful Wolf Lakes Park in the Garden on an unseasonably cool May day. We were treated to the most amazing skies which we took full advantage of during the portrait sessions. They also brought their adorable little dog, even dressing her in a little tutu for her walk down the aisle during the ceremony. I love dogs, so you'll have to forgive the number of pictures of her in the slideshow! Kathy and Jesse are both a riot and I love how expressive they both were.
