We couldn't have asked for a better venue for a wedding than Jack Stone's Barn. Although there aren't as many weddings out there as in years past, it's still a great venue. A cool, rustic old barn, a pond, a beautiful setting for any kind of celebration. Even though it was scorching hot, Kristel and Ryan had a blast with their family and friends and it was a great wedding all the way around. Jill and Ryan were married in a beautiful ceremony at Tuscan Gardens in Kinsgburg, CA. I absolutely loved hanging with them and their super-expressive friends. Marisa and Adrienne were married in an intimate ceremony at a family home along the San Joaquin River. It was a stunningly beautiful location for a wedding and was made extra special in that it was also the same spot that Adrienne proposed to Marisa. Denise and Brandon's wedding from last fall was an absolutely beautiful affair. There ceremony took place at Our Lady of Fatima in Laton followed by a gorgeous reception in a private airplane hanger. Shelli of Shelli Armstrong Events did an amazing job turning the massive hanger into a lush, elegant venue for the 500 or so guests at the wedding. Enjoy a few of my favorite images from the day!

Here we go, back on the wedding posting train! I'm really far behind, so get ready for a flood of new posts - I have the whole 2nd half of 2013 to catch up on! First up is Julie and Tony's wedding from St. John's Cathedral followed by a gorgeous outdoor reception at a private residence in the historic Old Fig Garden neighborhood. It may have been scorching hot, but that didn't slow anyone down on the dance floor. It was a certainly one of the parties of the year! It was also an opportunity to catch up with some old friends, including Tony's sister Rosa who's wedding I photographed a couple years ago. It was a total blast, full of characters

After 4 years, I finally sat down and went through 100,000+ or so wedding pictures I've taken over the last 8 years and pared it down to 76 or so of my absolute favorites - the images that I feel define my style and how I photograph weddings. True to nature it's heavy on moments, heavy on joy, heavy on the quirky little kids, with a dash of dynamic portraits thrown in for good measure.
