I had the chance to photograph Erin and Mic in downtown Fresno. Enjoy of my favorite images!
I'm looking forward to photographing Robin and Steve's wedding at the Valhalla Grand Hall in South Lake Tahoe next year! Here are a few from their engagement session to help tide you over until then. We started out in downtown Fresno and then headed out to an old abandoned farm. Here are a few of my favorites.
It’s that time of year again! You might not believe it, but it is going to get cool and those holiday cards need to be sent. So, Mark Janzen Photography is offering a very limited opportunity to a few lucky families! On the morning of Saturday, November 3 we will have a full slate of sessions at the beautiful Woodward Park taking advantage of some great fall color. Then the very next day on Sunday, November 4, we’ll have a full run of sessions Sessions with an urban feel in downtown Fresno. As with all Portrait Events, the sessions run about 20 minutes and are limited to a single family. These sessions are perfect for small children with those short little attention spans! You will place your order
Next up in the engagement category are a couple of my good friends Polly and Matt. I first met Matt when I was 7 years old and new to California, straight out of Oklahoma. We have moved in and out of each other's lives over the years and I'm happy we're currently "in" right now and I get to photograph his wedding to Polly in just a couple weeks. Check out a few of my favorites from their session.
WOW! That's about all I can say. This was largest wedding I've photographed with nearly 800 guests, including 7 couples whose weddings I've photographed in the past, and a special appearance by local celebrity Kopi who jumped up and joined the Greek dancers entertaining the crowd. The convention center, and People's Church main sanctuary, were transformed totally by the incredibly talented ladies at The Velvet Society. The convention center in particular was unrecognizable - an indoor venue transformed into an "outdoor" venue using trees, lampposts, and even a lawn! Then there was Adrianna and Gerrit - a mighty fine looking couple, very expressive, and full of joy on their wedding day. Here are a few of my favorites, enjoy!
We started this session a little later than usual which meant we broke out the lights for a good portion of it. Love to change things up every once in awhile and shooting in the dusk light totally fits the bill. Check out a few of my favorite images...
Lacie was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed a couple of years ago, and I was excited to see her again and have the opportunity to work with her and her fiancee Chris at their own wedding. For their engagement session, they asked to go to San Francisco to the rose garden where Chris proposed. We also made a stop at AT&T park to shoot in the area - they're huge Giants fans and even have their own commemorative brick in the walkway along McCovey Cove at the ballpark. Take minute and enjoy a few of my favorites!
This session was really cool - I went to High School with Ryan back when we has "5 ft nothin, a 100 and nothin" and we played on the Golf Team together. Fast forward almost 20 years later, we're all grown up, and I'm hanging out with him again, shooting his family portraits. Loved his boys, so full of personality! Enjoy my personal favorites from the session.
