Bethany and Kyle were married in a short and sweet morning ceremony in early September next to the Alicante vineyard at Copper River Country Club. Even though it turned out to be another sweltering hot day, we made the rest of it, and in the end the beautiful ceremony and moment filled experience is what will live on forever. Slowly, just a little bit at a time, I'm going to get through the weddings I left out at the end of last year! Here's one from the beautiful Cellar 360 in Paso Robles, CA that took place last October. I absolutely love wine country weddings - there's not much more gorgeous than the rolling hills, the perfect rows of vines, and the warm sun at sunset. Mix in a super expressive and fun loving couple and you have the recipe for one of my favorite weddings from 2013. Denise and Brandon's wedding from last fall was an absolutely beautiful affair. There ceremony took place at Our Lady of Fatima in Laton followed by a gorgeous reception in a private airplane hanger. Shelli of Shelli Armstrong Events did an amazing job turning the massive hanger into a lush, elegant venue for the 500 or so guests at the wedding. Enjoy a few of my favorite images from the day!
After 4 years, I finally sat down and went through 100,000+ or so wedding pictures I've taken over the last 8 years and pared it down to 76 or so of my absolute favorites - the images that I feel define my style and how I photograph weddings. True to nature it's heavy on moments, heavy on joy, heavy on the quirky little kids, with a dash of dynamic portraits thrown in for good measure. Shantelle and JP's wedding celebration happened at a pair of what are probably my favorite venues on the entire California Central Coast. We headed over to Carmel for their ceremony at the historic Carmel Mission followed by an exquisite reception held at the beautiful Holman Ranch. Holman Ranch is perched on a mountain top with sweeping views of the Carmel Valley. Every detail for the day was meticulously planned by Shantelle and exhibited many items hand made by her and her friends and family. When Cirsten first come to talk to me about being her wedding photographer, one of the first things she said just gave me the warm fuzzies. She told me she didn't know much about her wedding, but she was certain that I was going to the photographer at her wedding - no question about it! To top that all off she chose one of my favorite venues to photograph in Fresno - Copper River Country Club. So it was a bit warm, actually it was really hot, but that didn't slow anyone down. Amanda and Tyler were married at the always beautiful Tuscan Gardens in Kingsburg, CA and Associate Photographer, Craig Kohlruss, was there to capture it! The sun was shining onto the vineyards and roses near the ceremony site making for the perfect backdrop for the heartfelt emotions (Amanda and Tyler wrote their own vows), laughter, and happy tears throughout the day! It's really great to photograph people in an environment that they love or a place that means something special to them. Julie and Tony picked just such a location for their engagement session. Tony spent a long time helping to build the vineyard seen here. This was a great couple to hang out with and I'm looking forward to their wedding this fall!
