Alexandra and Renner | Ahwahnee Hotel Wedding Photography | Yosemite National Park

Yosemite is seeing a lot of action from wedding photographers Mark Janzen and Craig Kohlruss. Alexandra and Renner's wedding is the latest and it was a beautiful wedding. Craig thoroughly enjoyed being the photographer chosen to cover this day. Arriving just after sunrise, Craig photographed the sunrise over Half Dome and then moved on to cover Alex and Renner's preparations at the Ahwahnee hotel. I love the distinctive spiral seating for all their guests during the ceremony, with the couple stationed at the center for their wedding. I'm so fortunate to be a photographer in Central California. Working here means that Yosemite is right in my backyard and I get a chance to photograph quite a few weddings and engagement sessions in Yosemite Valley. Nothing on Earth can beat El Capitan, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and the rest of the natural monuments in Yosemite as photography backdrops. This time around I was lucky enough to be chosen by Rebecca and Louis to be the wedding photographer at their Yosemite wedding at the Ahwahnee this coming fall. Stephany and TJ | An Ahwahnee and Yosemite Chapel Wedding | Yosemite National Park

I just love it when couples are completely open and expressive on their wedding day, and that's exactly what Craig got when he met Stephany and TJ for their wedding in Yosemite. After a portrait session around Yosemite Valley, everyone gathered at the little Yosemite Chapel for an emotional ceremony followed by a beautiful reception at the historic Ahwahnee Hotel situated below the famous Half Dome. Jenn and Brandon | Yosemite Wedding at the Ahwahnee Hotel | Yosemite National Park, CA

Jenn and Brandon's wedding was my last Yosemite wedding of the year and it took advantage of the great fall color in Yosemite Valley. The color was absolutely spectacular and it was a joy to spend the day searching out the most vivid locations. I love these small Yosemite weddings - everyone has such an amazing time and there's always a room full of personalities. Yi-Hsing and Daniel | Ahwahnee Hotel Wedding | Yosemite National Park

Any wedding day in Yosemite is bound to be a beautiful one, and this day certainly didn't disappoint! Weekday weddings in the park are great as even in the summertime the crowds are smaller and it's pretty easy to get around the valley floor. Daniel and Yi-Hsing are new residents of New York by way of Japan, and on the way they had a little wedding under the apple tree on the Ahwahnee Hotel's Wedding Lawn.
