This serious little sweetheart is turning one and I had the pleasure of documenting the milestone. There is one image in the gallery above – the close-up of her fingers twisted in the blanket – that is among my favorite images in recent memory. It’s one of those things that any parent can understand – this is her special blanket and she loves to poke her fingers through the holes and hold on tight. I feel that, combined with her and her bottle in the background, this image completely tells the story of this time in her life. It’s an image that will only become more special as she grows.
