So if you plan a wedding, outside, in August, you know you're rolling the dice with the weather and Andrea and Jason rolled "super hot"! That was totally okay though, cause they were as hot as the day, and no one let any of it get in their way. The vineyard looked amazing, the expressions and moments were coming from every direction, and it was a fantastic day. Enjoy a few of my favorites...
The landscape just outside of Fresno is one of the most beautiful terrains I've seen anywhere. The beautiful rolling hills, majestic oak trees, lush grasses, and craggy granite outcroppings. It's a gorgeous location for an engagement session with such a great variety of form, color and texture. Andrea just got married a couple weeks ago, and their wedding post is coming very soon, but I though it was time I showed a handful of my favorites from their session.
Kelsey and Cameron were married in a ceremony at Pilgrim Armenian Church followed by a reception at the ever beautiful Wolf Lakes Park in Sanger, CA. Every detail was perfect carried out by the wonderful Cassandra of Weddings by Cassandra. It was a special day to work with so many people so totally present and engaged throughout the day in a setting that couldn't have been more beautiful.
This is an early morning engagement session from Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park. Pretty much the only way to shoot a session in the summer is to get their early and on a Monday. It's a truly magical location and Vicki and Even were super relaxed and ready to have fun. After shooting for a while at Glacier Point, we headed down to Yosemite Valley to finish the session in the forest and meadows found all over the valley floor.
Vicki and Evan were married at the edge of the Merced River next to what would have been Cathedral Beach if we hadn't had a massively wet winter. The river was close to flood stage, and their officiant didn't make it on time due to extreme summer weekend traffic, but the bride's friend/wedding planner saved the ceremony by using her single bar of data on her phone to get herself ordained and then proceeded to knock it out of the park. Throw in some great dancers and the whole wedding day was a fantastic party. Enjoy a
So it turns out that they have weddings at the Winchester Mystery House! When I got the first email from Britta, I was immediately transported back to being 10 years old and taking a tour of that bizarre piece of Victorian architecture with my family. All sorts of wacky stuff went through my head, but in the end all the wackiness was provided by Britta and Adam. As a photographer, there's nothing better than a subject with an expressive face and a great sense of humor and these two had it in spades. Any day
