RECENT WEDDINGS
Emily and Gary | Sunnyside Events Wedding | Fresno, CA
I probably sound like a broken record, but working with expressive people is SO MUCH FUN! No shade towards Gary – who’s a totally awesome dude – but Emily has an outsized personality that literally blows up any room she walks in to. Actually, everyone was a character at this wedding including Gary and Emily’s little boys. So many great personalities all the way around, but I think the pictures are going to show you that. Enjoy my favs!
Erin and Erick | Moravia Winery Wedding | Fresno, CA
After photographing over 350 weddings since 2005, one of the things I’m most proud of is how often I’m hired by family and friends of past clients. This wedding was a perfect example after photographing Erick’s brother’s wedding a couple years ago (eventually I’ll get to posting that one too!). It’s so much fun to hang with familiar people and extend the stories started in past years. I love that Erin and Erick are both unabashed Star Wars fans and let all that come through in their wedding – from Han and Leia figures on the cake, Erick’s Millennium Falcon cuff links, and the Rebel Alliance cuff links for the groomsmen. Enjoy a few of my favorite images from their wedding.
Nicole and Chris | Preservation Park Wedding | Oakland, CA
I first met Nicole and Chris at Sarah and Ryan’s wedding a couple of years ago. I’m not going to lie, I secretly thought they were a really cool couple and hoped they would get married and hire me. Well the universe heard me and here we are! I love that they are as sarcastic as me, love beer as much as I do (probably even more), and have a sarcastic wit which can keep the banter going forever. It was an absolute blast hanging out with them and their friends for the day and I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as I enjoyed making them!
Julie and Jeffery | Glacier Point Wedding | Yosemite National Park
One of my favorite things about weddings in Yosemite is that they are NEVER alike. I get to meet people from all over the world and the only thing in common is their great love for the mountains and the outdoors. Julie and Jeff were no exception. They live in Colorado but had never actually been to Yosemite before the day of their wedding. They gathered 25 of their closest friends, rented an amazing cabin outside the park, and got their first taste of Yosemite about 10 minutes before we met. It was a blast showing them around and capturing the amazing scenes all around us. Then to cap off the day, we headed out to Taft Point with several friends
Helen and Nate | Majestic Yosemite Hotel Wedding | Yosemite National Park
I never tire of visiting Yosemite, it’s the most incredible landscape on earth and I’m beyond fortunate to live close enough to work there on a regular basis. Throw in an expressive, warm couple and a day couldn’t be better. I spent a good portion of the day, really almost all of it, laughing into the back of my camera. Every family member, every friend was truly engaged and present with Helen and Nate and it readily shows in the pictures. So much love, so much laughter at every turn. Helen and Nate spend most of their free time climbing together, and while I’m not a climber, spending the day with people that have a love of Yosemite that matches my
Eunice and Chris | Paradise Springs Wedding | Oakhurst, CA
This wedding was touch and go for a bit – the Railroad Fire was bearing down on Paradise Springs for the better part of a month, but thanks to the amazing work by the firefighters, the venue was safe and Eunice and Chris had one hell of a wedding. Every wedding has moments, expressive people, beautiful surroundings, but I’ve rarely met a group of people so in tune to each other. It was a real treat to spend the day with everyone here – there were so many hugs, I truly felt I was among “my people” all day. Not even a 2 or so hour delay with the makeup could ruin the experience, and if you’re a glass-half-full kind of
