Lindsay and Dustin were married at St. Peter Catholic Church in Lemoore followed by an amazing reception on Dustin's family's farm. Lindsay didn't miss a single detail; from the kid's activity table, to the Superior Dairy ice cream truck (YUM!), to tequila shots for everyone that managed to make it into the late night, everything was a blast. Kristi and Drew's wedding took place just a few weeks ago with a ceremony at the GL Johnson Chapel at People's Church. Following their ceremony, everyone headed out to Kristi's parents orchard for a beautiful reception among the olive trees. They pulled out all the stops, even rolling dad's classic Thunderbird out for few portraits and finishing the night with an exit lit by huge sparklers held by the guests. Well, it wasn't supposed to rain. It was supposed to be cloudy and then break up right at sunset giving us an amazing sky. And then it didn't happen that way! So, we grabbed the umbrellas and took to the orchard and dodged the raindrops for a bit. It turned out to be a shorter session than planned, but I really love the images we got. Erika and Craig are one of those couples that are just a joy to photograph. Erika is a complete ham and just seems to be having an amazing time ALL the time and Craig is just this laid back guy totally happy to be along for the ride. It was a nice warm day that wasn't nearly as hot as it was supposed to be, with some great light just in time for the couple's portraits, and we just made it in time for a really cool portrait at dusk just before we lost all the color in the sky. And then there was the dance floor...I can't really put that into words, you'll have to look at the pictures. Enjoy!
This is a wedding that I've really been looking forward to since the day I put it on my calendar. All my clients are special in their own way, but this is a couple that I have known for several years as they are, together, the face of Copper River weddings. For Katherine and Jordan's engagement session we headed down to a relative's ranch down near Kingsburg, CA. We were blessed with an absolutely amazing day sandwiched in between all the rain we have been getting this spring. Beautiful sky, beautiful blossoms and a very cool, overgrown vineyard all full of lush, green grasses and wildflowers. We even had a beat up old farmhouse to use as a backdrop.
