Amanda and Matt | Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographs | Squaw Valley, CA

For a wedding photographer in Fresno, there is nothing better than escaping the summer heat and heading to photograph a wedding in the Lake Tahoe area! Add a super sweet, down to earth couple and their amazing friends and it makes for a great weekend, full of real moments - funny, unexpected, and heartfelt photographs just flowed from this wedding. Amanda and Matt chose the Plumpjack Lodge as their wedding venue, and I loved the choice. It had great views of the surrounding mountains, super good food, and a great ambiance which can only make great wedding photographs easy to come by. Matt and most of his groomsmen were looking sharp in their military dress uniforms (Navy and Marines), and the girls

Jennifer and Kenny | A Mountain Lake Engagement Session | Huntington Lake, CA

I will be photographing Jennifer and Kenny's wedding next year at the beautiful Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA, but this post is all about their engagement pictures! I had an absolute blast hanging out with these two up in the mountains at Huntington Lake. So great to get out of the valley into some mountain air and we were even treated to a light rain for part of the session. We photographed on their dock, the family cabin, and just wandered the forest lined shore making some great images along the way. Both are former Fresno State students, and the perfect example of the cheerleader + football player story. Of course football players and cheerleaders tend to come in vastly different heights

Jillian and John | St. Peters and Kings Country Club | Lemoore, CA

I don't want to sound like a broken record, so I'm not going to mention how scorching hot it was on this day and we'll just pretend it was about 80 degrees and perfect! I can totally get away with that because Jillian and John looked perfect in all their wedding pictures so you'd never know anyway! I had so much fun shooting this wedding, the kids at this one were so awesome - including Jillian's little man Jackson, the dancing pictures were epic, and there were so many great moments all around. I got to revisit St Peter's Catholic Church in Lemoore, a great church for a wedding, and I had my first chance to photograph a wedding at Kings Country

Lacie and Chris | Victorian Gardens of Two Sisters | Kingsburg, CA

One of the pleasures of being a wedding photographer in Fresno is those extra special, early summer, rogue heat waves that show up every year before we're used to 100+ degree days. And by pleasure I mean pain, haha! This was one of those weddings. It was so hot that the local news even visited the rehearsal the day before their wedding because it was forecast to hit 108, 110 - something crazy whatever it was. I loved that Lacie and Chris didn't let the heat phase them at all. Of course the reception was a dressed down affair, but their spirits were riding high all day and the moments were fantastic all around. And as a message to all those brides

Alexandra and Renner | Ahwahnee Hotel Wedding Photography | Yosemite National Park

Yosemite is seeing a lot of action from wedding photographers Mark Janzen and Craig Kohlruss. Alexandra and Renner's wedding is the latest and it was a beautiful wedding. Craig thoroughly enjoyed being the photographer chosen to cover this day. Arriving just after sunrise, Craig photographed the sunrise over Half Dome and then moved on to cover Alex and Renner's preparations at the Ahwahnee hotel. I love the distinctive spiral seating for all their guests during the ceremony, with the couple stationed at the center for their wedding. Enjoy a few of my favorite photographs from this Yosemite wedding.

Rebecca and Louis | Yosemite Engagement Photographs | Yosemite National Park

I'm so fortunate to be a photographer in Central California. Working here means that Yosemite is right in my backyard and I get a chance to photograph quite a few weddings and engagement sessions in Yosemite Valley. Nothing on Earth can beat El Capitan, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and the rest of the natural monuments in Yosemite as photography backdrops. This time around I was lucky enough to be chosen by Rebecca and Louis to be the wedding photographer at their Yosemite wedding at the Ahwahnee this coming fall. This is their engagement session, enjoy some of my favorite images from the shoot.

Cristen and Jory | Copper River Country Club Wedding Photographs | Fresno, CA

When Cirsten first come to talk to me about being her wedding photographer, one of the first things she said just gave me the warm fuzzies. She told me she didn't know much about her wedding, but she was certain that I was going to the photographer at her wedding - no question about it! To top that all off she chose one of my favorite venues to photograph in Fresno - Copper River Country Club. So it was a bit warm, actually it was really hot, but that didn't slow anyone down. The day was full of emotion and good vibes - lots of great moments to photograph, and lots of great people to work with. One of those days that

Marlena and Patrick | Wonder Valley Ranch Wedding | Sanger, CA

Wonder Valley Ranch was a perfect choice of venue for Marlena and Patrick's wedding!  The grounds are really varied which lends itself to a lot of variety within the photographs.  Wonder Valley Ranch offers tons of activities for your guests such as hiking through the foothills, horseback riding, and canoeing. Best of all there are cute little cabins on site where your guests can stay! It is always great to photograph couples with big personalities and Marlena and Patrick were no exception.  Everything was funny and people had a great time all day long!  An added bonus for me is that I had a chance to photograph my friend and fellow Fresno photographer, Doug Morgan at this wedding - Patrick is his
